We believe in experiential learning, connecting people of all ages to new foods, soil, and open spaces. Visits to the farm provide a wide range of opportunities for your group to engage with all that Pie Ranch has to offer from field to kitchen. Explore the program offerings below to find an option that meets your group’s objectives and wishes!

Our redwood classroom is the perfect space to hold your retreat or meeting, paired with a farm-to-table lunch from the fields.

FARM VISIT MENU

Option #1

INTRODUCTION TO A WORKING FARM

Groups of 10 to 30
10am-12:30pm (Timing can be adjusted depending on availability)

Enjoy a two-hour walking tour of our farm with one of our staff. Tour includes a milling demonstration in our historic Roadside Barn and discussion of our small-farm operation. Guests are invited to bring their own lunch to picnic in our meadow following their tour.

10:00am: Arrival and Welcome
10:00am–10:30am: Overview of Pie Ranch, ice breaker, safety review
10:30am–12:30pm: Milling Demo followed by walking tour of farm
12:30pm: Enjoy our meadow for your own picnic lunch (optional)

OPTION #2

CONNECTING WITH THE SOIL

Groups of 10 to 30
9:30am–1:30pm

Enjoy a 90 minute tour of the farm and engage in an activity in the fields facilitated by one of our farm team members! This is your opportunity to get your hands in the soil and learn first hand about out regenerative agriculture practices. You’re invited to bring your own lunch to picnic in our meadow at the end of the experience.

9:30am: Arrival and Welcome

10:00am–11:30am: Walking Tour of Farm
11:30am–12:30pm: Farm project with farm team
12:30pm–1:30pm: Enjoy our meadow for your own picnic lunch (optional)



OPTION #3

The Seasonal Slice

10-30 participants

10am–2:00pm

Join us in the outdoor kitchen to bake fresh pies from scratch! Your group will learn about Pie Ranch wheat and produce and bake warm, flakey crusted pies out of the produce currently in season. 

10:00am: Arrival, Welcome circle, overview of Pie Ranch, coffee & tea
10:30am–12:30pm: Hands-on pie baking lesson in the outdoor kitchen patio.
12:30-1:30pm: Bring your own picnic lunch
1:30pm Pie is served!

OPTION #4

Food Justice from Field to Table

Groups of 5-20

9:30am–1:30pm

Food justice seeks to ensure that the benefits and risks of where, what, and how food is grown, produced, transported, distributed, processed and eaten are shared fairly and equitably.

Participate in a hands-on farm-to-table cooking lesson at the farm! Our experienced chef educator will lead you through the preparation of a delicious meal, based around seasonal ingredients from the farm in our state-of-the-art outdoor kitchen.

9:30am–10:00am: Welcome circle, overview of Pie Ranch, coffee & tea
10:00am–12:30pm: Hands-on culinary lesson with chef educator
12:30-1:30pm: Enjoy a lunch buffet prepared by and for your group in the picnic meadow

OPTION #5

The Whole Pie

Groups of 8-20

9:30–1:30pm (option to extend to 3:30pm)

Get your hands in the dough with this all-inclusive Pie Ranch experience! Begin the day by preparing a farm-to-table lunch with our experienced chef educator based around seasonal ingredients from the farm, as well as bake pie from scratch to serve after lunch in our spacious outdoor kitchen. Enjoy a buffet lunch (prepared by and for your group!) together in the picnic meadow. OPTIONAL: Add an afternoon farm tour to this excursion for a full day at the farm.

9:30am–10:00am: Welcome circle, overview of Pie Ranch, coffee & tea
10:00am–12:30pm: Hands-on culinary lesson with our chef educator and pie baking lesson on the patio
12:30-1:30pm: Enjoy a lunch buffet prepared by and for your group in the picnic meadow OPTIONAL: 1:30-3:30pm: 2 hour tour of the farm



Site Rentals for Workshops, Retreats & Small Parties

 Events Meadow & Redwood Classroom

The Events Meadow & Redwood Classroom is the ideal spot for lunch & lounging or outdoor workshops and retreats. The classroom is 30’ x 40’ and perfect for meetings, retreats, slideshow presentations and more. The classroom is fitted with a projector and screen, and has heating and cooling as well as WiFi access.

  • Heating & Cooling in the classroom

  • 50 Cherrywood folding chairs

  • 6 banquet style tables

  • 10 redwood picnic tables

The Outdoor Kitchen

Only available as an add-on to the Meadow & Classroom rental.

The fully-equipped outdoor kitchen is a rustic, spacious kitchen ready to host all your culinary needs. It includes a six burner range, extra large oven, three basin sink, ample counter space, and kitchen wares and tools. If you opt to have a meal catered by Pie Ranch the outdoor kitchen fee is waived.
